Sustainable Social Economic and Environmental Revitalization in the Historic Core of Multan City

The Consultancy Services Agreement is being made in pursuance of the Terms of Reference signed between the Technical Support Unit of the Pakistani-Italian Debt for Development Swap Agreement (PIDSA) and the Ministry of Housing and Works, dated 22nd January, 2011 for the execution of the project “Sustainable Social Economic and Environmental Revitalization in the Historic Core of Multan City”. The projects shall aim at promoting socio economic development and/or environmental protection in the priority sectors of agriculture, health, education and basic infrastructure and shall be identified in compliance with the principles and guidelines agreed upon the Parties within the framework of the “Pakistani Italian Development co-operation”.

The Fondazione Politecnico shall formulate and manage analysis strategies, plans, objectives and actions for the renewal, conservation and development of the historic core of Multan City while it develops a network of knowledge, in accordance with the terms better described below:

a) Livelihood Improvement Program:

b) Living Conditions Improvement (Demonstration Program) inside the Walled City of Multan:

c) Revitalization of Physical Assets of value in the historic core of Multan:

d) Establishment of the Pakistan-Italian Resource Centre at Multan:

e) Italian Collaboration Program for Training and Capacity Building.
